What better way to keep us kids happy? !
Playing in nature, making art, doing yoga, watching for fairies and making and eating healthy treats are some of my favourite things to do and luckily, so are my neighbours. This summer I have dreamed up, planned and put to life my very own summer camp. And am having so much fun! I love working with kids and yes, you could say I am a kid myself. Anyways, for my first few posts I decided I wanted to share some of the projects I’ve planned to do with the girls.

This was my main question whilst creating the project ideas-How do I blend the natural environment into art projects for kids? Guess what? It's easy! Or should I say, natural. For me and for many the natural environment is our #1 inspiration in arting and I believe kids make up many of these people. As long as a child spends time outside exploring, playing and having fun it means they are ingesting nature. And if they've ingested it, then they have definitely tasted it and liked it, otherwise it would have come right back out the way it came. So, lucky for us, we can feed kids' imagination and fill their creative little hands with things like pine cones, rocks, berries, purple carrots, flowers, etc. and they will turn out amazing pieces of art! (with help perhaps).
Amidst all the philosophies there is also the real stuff. Trial and error is currently my mantra and let's face, it will always be... Look up for posts on the projects we're doing, the fun we're having and the learning curves we're facing;)
Thanks!
